5) Jon Park likes to Mix His Patterns

At a recent departmental meeting, Jon Park showed up in the following outfit:
-Polka Dot Tie
-Thick Striped shirt
-Thin Striped Pants
-Perforated shoes

3) Jon Park is a Gourmet

Jon Park loves to cook. He looks up recipes online all day long when he is taking breaks from his strenuous Sudoku schedule. He brings his leftovers for lunch. He invites us to walk to the greenmarket in Rockefeller Center to discover new tasty treats during our lunch breaks. And yes, he shows up to happy hour in the skinniest pants with a baguette sticking out of his Northface backpack.

2) Jon Park Likes Flannel

This is self-evident. Jon Park might have had an excuse for his flannel collection simply by virtue of growing up in upstate New York....but Poughkeepsie ain't exactly the boonies, so that doesn't really count. Howdy-doody lives and breathes, my friends.

1) Jon Park Loves Beer

Jon Park is a real beer lover- to the extent that he brews his own!!! I have 3 bottles of home-brewed goodness in my fridge that attest to his adoration for the creation of fermented hops...although I have yet to broach the consumption of said bottles. (Home brew = possible home ew.) He loves beer so much that his keg is his Gchat image! Clearly, it is on the mind at all times. In fact, currently, he is using a keg as his avatar while talking about going to a beer tasting to get even more into beer!

A Minor Introduction

When I met my coworker Jon Park, he was into rap, djing, baggy pants, and lived in Harlem. Where is he now? In a pair of skinny jeans brewing beer in Prospect Heights.

This rapid turnaround can actually be attributed to a single moment: Jon Park's 2007 Halloween costume.

As a reference to Park's extremely lanky stature, it was suggested that he dress up as an ironic hipster for the holiday. Little did we know that we had created a monster.


Since then, he hasn't looked back.
